Await PAC Semifinal Opponent
The Crusaders scored early and often with three goals in the opening 15 minutes
of play. Macchione opened the scoring just under five minutes into play on
the first of two assists from junior Megan
Novogratz (
Macchione’s 22nd goal of the season made it 3-0, Alvernia with
20:14 left in the first half. Twelve minutes later Titus redirected an Allison
Hoffa (
Titus added her second goal of the game, and ninth of the season, for the only
second half goal. Manzolillo made all five of her saves after the break to
pick up her fifth shutout of the season.
The Crusaders, the top seed in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Tournament,
have a bye for Saturday’s opening round and will play a semifinal game next
Wednesday against an opponent to be determined. Alvernia
