KEEVER SCORES TWICE AS DIPLOMATS RALLY PAST MUHLENBERG 2-1 IN FIELD HOCKEY

ALLENTOWN, PA - Eileen Keever (Sr., Prospect Park, PA/Interboro) scored twice, including the game-winning goal with 15:12 left in the second half, as the #18 Franklin & Marshall College field hockey team rallied to defeat Muhlenberg College 2-1 in Centennial Conference action.
Muhlenberg (8-9, 3-6 Centennial Conference) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the game as Jessica Hand put in a second chance on a penalty corner 16:54 into the game, but the Diplomats (11-5, 5-4 Centennial Conference) knotted the game as Keever tipped in a pass from Lindsey Mummert (Jr., New Oxford, PA/New Oxford) on a penalty corner at 27:24 to tie the score prior to halftime.
Franklin & Marshall sealed the win over midway through the second half as Keever finished a pass from forward Brittany Croll (Sr., Lewes, DE/Indian River) on a three-on-one breakaway for the game-winning score at the 54:48 mark.
The assist continued a stretch of three games in which Croll has scored six goals and dished out four assists, including four goals and an assist in an 8-0 win at Bryn Mawr on October 15, to raise her season scoring total to 15 goals and eight assists for 38 points.  Further, she now has 51-22-124 in her career to rank third in career goals at F&M, three shy of surpassing Laura Kramedas '80 (53) for the all-time lead and two short of passing Sue Bowen '80 for second place.
In goal, Michelle Altman (Sr., Trumbull, CT/Trumbull) earned the win making six saves, while Muhlenberg's Lauren Schram made seven saves in taking the loss.
The win improves F&M to 9-4-1 all-time against the Mules as the Diplomats have won the past five meetings.
Further, the win keeps the Diplomats locked in a race for a berth in the five team Centennial Conference playoffs.  Currently, F&M is fifth in the standings with 10 points, while Gettysburg (13-4, 9-1 CC), Ursinus (14-2, 8-0 CC), Johns Hopkins (9-7, 6-3 CC) and McDaniel (9-6, 5-3 CC) round out the top four teams.
