PATRICELLI NAMED OCTOBER 4
ECAC SOUTHWEST FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
LANCASTER, PA --
Franklin & Marshall College running back Marc Patricelli (Fr., Milmont
Park, PA/Roman Catholic) has been named the October 4 Eastern College
Athletic Conference (ECAC) Southwest Football Offensive Player of the Week.
The honor marks the first time an F&M player has been honored by the ECAC
this year and marks the first honor in football since quarterback Jeff
Harner (Sr., Mohrsville, PA/Schuylkill Valley) was named the Offensive
Player of the Week following a 41-21 win at Oberlin College on September 11,
2004.
The October 2 Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week, Patricelli
rushed for 115 yards and threw the game-winning touchdown pass as the
Diplomats defeated Muhlenberg, 15-9, before a Homecoming crowd of 1,621 in the
Centennial Conference opener for both teams.
On the year, he has carried 50 times for 239 yards and passed once for seven
yards and a touchdown.
Franklin & Marshall (2-2, 1-0 Centennial Conference) will continue the
season on October 8 at Johns Hopkins University. Game time is set for
1:00 p.m.

FRANKLIN & MARSHALL 2-1 IN FIELD HOCKEY
LANCASTER, PA - Meg
Goddu scored at the 43:02 mark to lead #17 Gettysburg College over #12
Franklin & Marshall 2-1 in a match-up of nationally ranked Centennial
Conference field hockey opponents.
The Diplomats opened the scoring 9:58 into the game as Brenna Dolphin (Jr.,
Wilmington, DE/Archmere Academy) found Brittany Croll (Sr., Frankford,
DE/Indian River) in front of the cage for a 1-0 lead. Gettysburg
responded two minutes later as Amy Morris stole a crossing pass in the
Diplomats end of the field and buried a shot into the right corner of the cage
to knot the score at 1-1.
Following halftime, Gettysburg took the lead as Goddu tallied an unassisted
goal to put the Bullets in front to stay.
In goal, Michelle Altman (Sr., Trumbull, CT/Trumbull) made two saves
and allowed a goal in the first half, while Lindsay Klimik (Sr., Brick,
NJ/Brick) stopped one shot and allowed a goal in the second half to take
the loss. For Gettysburg, Katherine Corkhill made three saves and
allowed a goal to earn the win.
Franklin & Marshall (8-3, 2-2 Centennial Conference) will continue the
season on October 8 at Johns Hopkins University. Game time is set for
5:00 p.m.

DICKINSON HOLDS OFF FRANKLIN
& MARSHALL 1-0 IN WOMEN'S SOCCER
CARLISLE, PA - Lisa Nichols assisted Danielle Fried at the 81:21 for the
game's only game as the Dickinson College Red Devils recorded their sixth
straight shutout with a 1-0 victory over visiting Franklin & Marshall
College in Centennial Conference women's soccer action.
The win runs the Red Devils streak of shutout soccer to six games and 609:30
minutes dating back to a 1-1 tie versus York College of Pennsylvania on
September 15. During the run, Dickinson has blanked Goucher (6-0 W),
McDaniel (4-0 W), Ursinus (1-0 W), Susquehanna (2-0 W) and Washington (5-0).
Overall, the Red Devils controlled the pace in the first half as Dickinson out
shot the Diplomats 14-2 in the opening 45 minutes of play putting six shots on
goals.
Dickinson broke through with under nine minutes to play in the game as Nichols
found Fried for the golden goal at 81:21 as the Red Devils improved their
record to 7-22 all-time against Franklin & Marshall.
In goal, Robyn Jones (Jr., Titusville, NJ/Pennington) recorded 10 saves
on 22 Dickinson shots to take the loss for the Diplomats, while Alanna
Schechtman made four saves on 11 F&M shots for the win.
Franklin & Marshall (7-2-1, 2-2 Centennial Conference) will continue the
season at Ursinus College on October 8. Game time is set for 11:00 a.m.

CENTENNIAL CONFERENCE WOMEN'S SOCCER HONOR ROLL
LANCASTER, PA -
Franklin & Marshall College forward Amanda Zambrano (Sr., Pittsburgh,
PA/Fox Chapel) has been named to the October 3 Centennial Conference
Women's Soccer Honor Roll.
Last week, she scored twice, including the game-winner midway through the
second overtime period, to lead the Franklin & Marshall College women's
soccer team to a 2-1 double overtime victory at McDaniel College in Centennial
Conference action in a 1-0-1 week.
On the year, she has six goals and three assists for 15 points as she ranks
third in goals (0.75) and points (1.88) per game, first in game-winning goals
(four) and seventh in assists (0.38) per game as she leads a Diplomats' team
which ranks fifth in goals (2.00), fourth in goals against average (0.72),
eighth in saves (4.38) and fifth in shutouts (0.38) per game.
For her career, she has 38 goals and nine assists for 85 points as she ranks
eighth in points and is tied for sixth in goals with Heather Rice '03 in
school history.
Franklin & Marshall (7-1-1, 2-1 Centennial Conference) will continue the
season at Dickinson College on October 5. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m.

ALTMAN NAMED TO OCTOBER 3
CENTENNIAL CONFERENCE FIELD HOCKEY HONOR ROLL
LANCASTER, PA -
Franklin & Marshall College goalie Michelle Altman (Sr., Trumbull,
CT/Trumbull) has been named to the October 3 Centennial Conference Field
Hockey Honor Roll.
Last week, she made 21 saves in 148:24 as the Diplomats went 1-1 with a 2-1
loss to #2 Ursinus College and a 1-0 overtime win at home versus Washington.
Against Ursinus, she made 12 saves on 22 Bears' shots before making nine saves
in 78:24 in the win over Washington.
On the year, she has made 54 saves with seven goals allowed in 508:24 as she
has recorded a 0.96 goals against average and .885 save percentage to lead the
Diplomats to an 8-3 record and a #12 ranking in the latest STX/National Field
Hockey Coaches Association poll.
For her career, she has made 211 saves with 36 goals allowed in 1801:07 as she
holds a .854 save percentage and a 1.39 goals against average.
