Jacob Doyle pitched a complete game for Brandywine as they defeat Caravel 11-5 in the state championship baseball game. The Buccaneers Dan Richardson had three hits including a triple in the loss. R. T. Plumsky scored in the first inning as Caravel jumped ahead 2-0.
Greg Marcin doubled to lead off what would be an 8 run inning for the Bulldogs. Kyle Damalouji tries to slide in ahead of the jumping Dan Richardson and Chris Armstrong who had the ball in time for an out. Dean Whetham scores on a wild pitch during the 8 run rally in the third inning in which Caravel used 4 pitchers. Kyle Damalouji welcomes Whetham.
Brian Thiebault blooped a 2-run single in between 3 Bucs in the third inning. Brandywine wins its first ever Delaware State Baseball Championship. And the crowd goes wild.

Seniors Dan Santobianco, Mike Welch, Greg Marcin, and Kyle Damalouji. The Bucs with their second place trophy
