Katie Orga plays volleyball, basketball, and track for the
Raiders of Ursuline Academy. She is a guard for the basketball team (her favorite sport) a
setter for the volleyball team and a sprinter and hurdler for the track team.
Katie was named first team All-Catholic Conference in Spring Track her sophomore
and junior years and was the captain on her volleyball and basketball teams.
Katies specialty is defense on the basketball court. She feels that defense is the
most important part of the game and that it determines the level of play that the game
undertakes.
Katie wants to play both volleyball and basketball in college and hopes to
become a high school teacher and basketball coach someday.
The people that have shaped her athletic career are her coaches, teammates and
opponents. She says that her idol is her older brother Tony who played for Salesianum.
Katie holds a 3.8 GPA at Ursuline and is in the top quintile of her class. She is a
member of the National Honor Society.
