Shawn Thomas

Shawn is a 2 year letter winner in Track & Field. As a freshman he was one of the top throwers in the state with distance of 42 plus feet in the shotput, and a discus throw of 135 ft. plus. As a sophomore he was named 2nd team All State in the discus after being ranked #1 in the state until the state meet were he was beat out by 1 foot. He still won a state championship by over 13ft. He also won the MVP for outdoor track at Smyrna High. Going into his Junior year of high school Shawn's goals are to throw over 60ft. in the shotput and over 180ft. in the discus. He wishes to attend some National meets so he can be recognized for his talents.
