Caravel head girl's basketball coach, Kristin Caldwell, cuts the last rope on the net at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark as the Buccaneers win their first-ever state championship 53-47 in overtime against the Sanford Warriors. Gatorade Player of the Year for Delaware, India Johnston, scored 27 points, including 7 of Caravel's 10 points in overtime.

Dickinson Senior football player Alex Brown signs a letter of intent with Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania. He is now a Dutchman.

The Tatnall Hornets announced their Athletes of the Week. Both are from the Hornets swimming teams.

Delaware Valley Classical School had three basketball players named to the 21-22 All-MIL Basketball team. Ty Waylee, Patrick Phillips, and David Crossan. David was named to the first team, Patrick to the second team, and Ty was named honorable mention.
