The Quakers Robbie Tattersall rushed for 4 touchdowns and 139 yards and threw one TD as Wilmington Friends improves to 3-0 with a 43-7 win over Tower Hill.




Frank Nasta threw 4 touchdowns, three of them to Yas Felton for St. Andrews. The Saints shutout Christiana 45-0.







A Delawarean in the news in another state...



Alvernia Women's Soccer first year Haley Dougherty was named the MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week for her performance during the week of September 12 - September 18, 2022.


Dougherty had a goal and two assists in Alvernia's 5-2 win over Cedar Crest on Tuesday. Dougherty assisted on Alvernia's first and fourth goals of the game. She also scored Alvernia's third goal of the game - which was the go-ahead goal for the Golden Wolves





𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐢𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐲 from the Field Hockey team at St. Elizabeth's was named the Maroon & Gold Athlete of the Week for the Vikings.





Rilyn Heyliger from Kent Island HS and TNT DE U18 club has committed to play softball for UNC Wilmington.





For 34 years Joan Samonisky dedicated her career to the Sanford School. The school will officially name the Field Hockey/Lacrosse field at the front of campus in honor of this Sanford legend. The dedication ceremony will take place after the Varsity/JV Homecoming field hockey games at 130 on the 24th





The Wilmington Wildcat of the Week award focuses on individual performances on the field/court/course over the past seven days.




Logan Sweeney is an 8th grader running on the Caravel Academy Varsity Cross Country team this season. He broke the Caravel 8th grade record on Tuesday, September 13th with a time of 19:59. Then on Friday, September 16th, he broke that record with the time of 19:50.









Boy's Soccer


Nick Panyko scored three goals for Cape Henlopen as they won 5-1 over Worcester Prep from Maryland.





Philip Manolakos scored three goals and assisted on three others as the Quakers drop Tatnall 7-0.









Field Hockey


Alyssa Williams had a hat trick for St. Georges in their 9-0 shutout win against Hodgson Vo Tech.










Smyrna's Dru Moffett announced her intention to play field hockey for the U of Michigan. She will follow in her mother, and coach, Loveita Moffett's footsteps. Dru is a junior, currently, at Smyrna.




Congratulations to Bill DiNardo, the Salesianum head football coach, for winning his 300th career game. 150 of these were with Salesianum and the other 150 with Caravel and Middletown. DiNardo has helped guide teams to 7 state championships, 3 with Middletown and 4 with Salesianum.
