Tysean Baronette, Track and Field, East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (East Stroudsburg, PA)

Baronette participated in Varsity Track and Field all four years of high school. He is the 2020 400 meter state champion, ran sub 50 as a freshman and placed third nationally as a freshman in the 400 meter dash in the New Balance Nationals.





Joey Bond, Swimming, Washington College (Chestertown, MD)

Bond won an individual conference title and set a Blue Hen Conference record in the 100 yard breaststroke, has been part of four of the most successful teams in MHS’ history and helped break the school 200 yard medley relay record.





Karima Hall, Basketball, Delaware Technical Community College (Dover, DE)

Hall was named defensive player of the year and most improved player.






Jack Hamm, Football, Millersville University (Millersville, PA)

Hamm, a punter/kicker, averages 46.1 yards per punt. He played on the varsity team for three years.






Alyssa Lahutsky, Lacrosse, Trine University (Angola, IN)

Lahutsky has been on the varsity lacrosse team for three years. The team was conference champions in 2021.







Aidan Laing, lacrosse, Alderson Broaddus University (Philippi, WV)

Laing won six faceoffs against Milford High School in his varsity debut.







Becca Maiorano, Softball, Stevenson University (Owings Mills, MD)

Maiorano played five years on the varsity team, in addition to playing nine years of travel softball. She was the 2022 Family Leader and Captain of the team.







Alexa Poole, Lacrosse, Keiser University (West Palm Beach, FL)

Poole played defense/mid. She played on the varsity team for three years, a team that was the 2021 conference champions.







Brendan Timmons, Baseball, Delaware State University (Dover, DE)

Timmons played all four years of high school on the varsity team.








Tyla Walker, Soccer, Delaware State University (Dover, DE)

Walker has played for four years on the varsity team, and was team captain for three years. She played center back and forward. The team was first at all state and first at all conferences.








Jonathan Wiltshire, Dodge City Community College (Dodge City, KS)

Wiltshire played three years on varsity and was team captain.








Sussex Central High’s Madge Layfield continues to be a dominant softball pitcher in her sophomore season. In one recent four-game span, she pitched 24 straight scoreless innings while striking out 53 batters and allowing only six hits.






Caesar Rodney High soccer player Gabrielle Davis netted six goals in the Riders’ 7-0 win over Polytech. CR’s last three games, Davis has 11 goals and a pair of assists.








Cape Henlopen High lacrosse player Hank D’Ambrogi scored five goals and added seven assists in the Vikings’ 19-4 win over Tower Hill. In two games last week, the senior attack finished with six goals and 11 assists.


















Kaely Tornek from Wilmington Friend's Lacrosse team was chosen as an Athlete of the Week for her 6-goal performance in a 15-14 win over Archmere.
