Woodbridge High sophomore basketball player Reghan Robinson scored 53 points in two wins for the Blue Raiders. Robinson, who is averaging 26 points per game, hit ten three-point shots in the two games.
Polytech High junior boys’ basketball player Xavier Brewington scored a game-high 23 points in the Panthers’ 61-49 win over Smyrna. The win snapped the Eagles’ 20-game Henlopen North winning streak.
Smyrna High wrestler Gabe Giampietro reached the finals of the prestigious Beast of the East tournament on Sunday. The senior 120-pounder, who was seeded No. 2 in the event, went 5-1, losing only to the top seed in the bracket. Giampietro was the only Delaware wrestler to make it to a championship match.
