Football


The scoreboard tells the outcome of the Middletown-Salesianum Class 3A semifinal game from yesterday. The Cavaliers advance to play Smyrna in the Championship Game next Saturday at 330 at the U of DE. Seen here are Noah Kracyla, Matthew Priestly, Graham Lindsay, and Casey Hackett.



In Class 1A, the Vikings of St. Elizabeth's shutout the Tatnall Hornets 33-0. Quasim Benson scored 4 touchdowns to give him a total of 35 this year. The Vikings will play Laurel for the Class 1A Championship at 6pm next Saturday.






Archmere beats Delaware Military 20-16 to advance to the Class 2A Championship Game. The Auks spotted the Seahawks 10 first-half points then roared back to victory. Chris Albero rushed for two touchdowns and threw a 72-yard touchdown pass to Conor Udovich. They will take on undefeated Woodbridge at 11am on Saturday for the title.






Boy's Basketball

Concord beats Dickinson 63-46. Julian Harris scores 15 for the Raiders. Jayvair Perdomo from Dickinson leads all scorers with 24 points. He hit 4 three-pointers.




It was Appoquinimink 79 and Odessa 22. Four Jaguars in double figures in scoring led by Christian Barksdale with 16.





St. Elizabeth's beat AI duPont for the Boy's championship of the AI duPont Tipoff Classic, 68-62




Girl's Basketball



Sanford traveled to Maryland to take on the McDonogh School but were beaten 79-35. Dallas Pierce scored 19 in the Warriors out-of-state effort.





Boy's Swimming




Mt. Sophia Academy beats Dover 87-55 in the pool. Junior Henry Rhein was a winner in his 4 races, the two relays and the 50 and 100 freestyle. His freshman brother, Karl, picked up three wins as the Grizzlies swept the events.




Tower Hill had to come from behind to beat St. Andrews 82-81 in this Independent Conference, long-time, rivalry. Junior Captain, Thomas Conaty anchored the Hiller team and also won his two individual races. Yelsin Belkaldi picked up 4 wins and 8th grader James Brinsfield picked up three wins. Brinsfield in the 200IM and the 500 free.











Girl's Swimming




The Tower Hill girls team also beats St. Andrews although without the drama in the boy's contest. Lila Fanelli and Sydney DeBaecke each had 4 victories.



The Grizzlies girl's team also were victorious over Dover. Katherine Rainbow, Caroline Roff, and Amanda Edge each won 4 times as they swept the event roster for the contest.
