Returning Varsity Basketball Player, Harry Kinyanjui (SO,) was recognized at the AI Tiger Tip-Off Tournament this Saturday, 12/4/21, for his outstanding display of defense and rebounding. He was selected as a member of the All Tournament Team.
Boy's Basketball
Dylan Sheppard leads the Hillers of Tower Hill to a 57-33 win over St. Andrews. He led all scorers with 16 points in the game. Four Hillers were in double figures.
Jabri White scored 20 points for St. Marks as the Spartans beat Dickinson 70-42 to win their opening-day game.
Newark Charter beats Odyssey Charter 75-56. 8th grader Kevin Coleman from Odyssey was the high scorer in the game with 17 points.
Conrad over McKean in a 45-43 nail-biter. Jaylin Horsey had 12 points for the Red Wolves. Alijah Moore had 17 for the Highlanders.
The Hawks of St. Georges beat the Charter School of Wilmington 63-49. Aaron Rambert had 19 points in the victory.
Brandywine wins over Newark 54-48. Nathan Zoladkiewicz had 22 points for the Bulldogs. Kamau Lately was high scorer with 23 for the Yellowjackets.
Five different Riders scored in double digits in Caesar Rodney's 86-68 win against Milford. Malachi Brinkly and Anthony Aglio each had 17 points for CR. Andrew Kravitz had 27 for the Buccaneers.
A battle between the 2 new Appo District schools was won by the Odessa Ducks as they beat the MOT Charter Mustangs 43-41. Jordan Earl had 19 points and 14 rebounds hitting 2 clutch, late free throws for the Ducks. Carlton Smith had 17 for the Mustangs.
Mt. Pleasant beats Glasgow 61-38. Ronnie Potts led the Green Knights with 13 points. Luis Serrano-Gil had 20 for the Dragons.
Girl's Basketball
Caesar Rodney beat Milford 51-10. Stacey Deputy led with 10 points.
Mt. Pleasant beat Odessa 63-20. Ja'Mai Benson had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Green Knights.
Caravel traveled to PA to play the Shipley School and came home with a 64-31 victory. India Johnston had 21 points. Taylor Wilkins added 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Bucs.
Newark over Brandywine 50-32. Arionna Williams had 17 points for the Bulldogs. The Yellowjackets Alyssa Thomason led everyone with 19.
Cape Henlopen 60 and Dover 38. Mehkia Applewhite had 17 points for the Vikings.
The Ravens of Sussex Tech beat Polytech 54-51 in overtime. The Panthers Kallie Hopkins hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to tie the game in regulation. Maleyah Bell had 26 points for the Ravens. Anjae Sorrell led the Panthers with 21.
Lake Forest jumped out over Indian River early and never looked in the rear view mirror winning 46-11. Kirja Hickman had 14 points to lead the Spartans.
The Henlopen South rivalry game between Seaford and Laurel went to the Blue Jays as Seaford beats the Bulldogs 52-47. Kimyra Cornish-Baine had 21 points to lead all scorers.
Erin Glanz scored 16 points to lead the Red Wolves of Conrad to a 43-39 win against Delcastle.

Christiana needed overtime to win against First State Military yesterday, 37-36. Amanii Brice had 17 points for the Vikings in the win. Carrina Keys had 19 for the Bulldogs.
Sophia Messick scored 16 points for St. Marks as the Spartans beat Dickinson 61-11. The Spartans blanked the Rams 21-0 in the first quarter.
