Delaware Milestones 2022-2023 Part 2


Caravel Academy wrestler Matt Duarte recorded his 100th career win for the Buccaneers. It came in a dual meet against Caesar Rodney




At the DISC Swim Championships, Sanford's Carson Kalish helped lead the Warriors to their first Boy's Championship. Kalish set two school record at the meet one in the 100 Fly, in which he took 1st Place with a time of 51.22; the second was in the 100 Back where he took 2nd Place in 54.48





Conrad's 4x200 relay team of Julia Abbott, Safiya Stewart, Emily Hartnett and Kayla Williams set a new school record at the state championships with a time of 2:01.78





The RedWolves boy's 4x800 relay team of Ulises Vazquez, Sebastian Bergstrasser, Braeden Peterson and Joey Dello Buono set a new school record of 9:10.57





Conrad's Girls 4x800 relay team took second place with a new school record time of 9:44.78. The record holders are now Alyssa Napier, Karen Tanner, Mallory Holloway and Jordan Blanck.





The DMA girls 4 x 200m relay consisting of Maame Manu, Andrea Haley, Caitlyn Shannon and Ava Amati broke the existing school record by 3 seconds, clocking a 1:55.68.




DMA's Eric Cureton set two new school record at the State Championships. He ran a 22.75 in the 200 meters and 6.66 in the 55 meter dash to set the new standards for the Seahawks.






DMA's Giada McNamara broke her own school record in the shot put with a toss of 35-.25 inches, nearly two feet better than her previous record set last month.




Ethan Walther from Delaware Military is the Boy's 1600 meter run champion. His time of 4:23.57 was a personal best and a new school record.




Jules Balon's 19-2" long jump mark captured the state championship in the indoor finals. The mark was a new state record for the Padua Panda.





St. Marks' Danni McGonigle is the State Champion in the Triple Jump. She had a Top-50 USA leap of 38-9. This ties the state record. She also set the school record in the Long Jump (17-11.25) and tied the school record in the High Jump (5-0.)





St. Andrews Lily Murphy is the State Champion in the 3200 meters. She won with a time of 11:14.96 which is a school record.





St. Andrews' Leah Horgan set a new school record in the 1600 meter run. The new Saint's record is 11:29.77




The St. Andrews 4x800 relay team of Harry Murphy Chris Onsomu William Hagberg Kuba Krajnik set a new school record time of 9:00.74





The Wilmington Friends 4x200 relay team of Brina Abere, Sawyer Rowland, Madeline Rowland, and Cereniti Johnson, set a new school record with a time of 1:55.55






The Quakers 4x400 relay team of Daniela Cristanetti-Walker, Sawyer Rowland, Ellie Criscimagna, and Payton Williams set a new school record with a time of 4:36.69





Archmere's Maddie Priest set a new Auk Indoor Track record in the 400 meter dash at the State Championships. Her record time was 59.95





Daphney Sapp from MOT Charter set a new Mustangs basketball team record. She scored a single-game high of 33 points in a contest against First State Military.





Caravel Academy's Luke Poore won his 150th career match for the Buccaneer wrestling team.





Eileen Voltz from the Charter School of Wilmington is seen third from the left in the back row of this picture. She is the head coach of the Force basketball team and softball team. She recently won her 300th career game as a coach at CSW.





Carlie Venables from Laurel became the 5th Bulldog from the basketball program in history to reach the 1000-point scoring mark for a career.





Dover's Jaheim Harrell had a 50-point game against Milford which included his 1000th career point for his career with the Senators.





Syed Miles from Del Tech, and a Caesar Rodney graduate, scored his 1000th career point for the basketball team. These points came in just two years.





Delmarva Christian's Ainsley Bell has reached the 1000 point mark for here basketball career for the Royals. She is headed to Messiah College next year to join their basketball team.





Sussex Central's Breyden Wright set a new Henlopen Conference Swimming record in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 50.71. That beat his own record.




Drew Pratt from Tower Hill won his 100th career match for the wrestling team. The win came against Delaware Military Academy in the semifinals of the Dual Meet Wrestling Championships.





Tower Hill's Caitlin Smith scored the 1000th point of her basketball career. She is the 10th in Hiller history to reach the mark and the first since 2014.




Tower Hill's Dean Shepherd, on the right, scored his 1000th career point for the Hiller basketball team.





The U of Delaware's Hanna Garber became just the second Blue Hen in softball program history to steal 75 bases for a career.





Delaware's Andrew Taylor set a new Blue Hen Men's Swimming program record in the 200M Freestyle. The new record time is 1:38.18





The U of DE's 4x800 Men's Freestyle Relay team set a new all-time program record with a time of 6:33.96. The Blue Hens who made up the record-setting team were Andrew Taylor, Jacob Replogle, Ryan Polino, and Gavin Currie.





The Blue Hen Women's 200 Medley Relayteam of Erin Shema, Mania Tasakou, Aislin Mitchell, and Mira Selling set a Swimming program all-time record in the event of 1:40.37.





The UD Women's 4x800 Free Relay team of Erin Shema, Anthi Lyra, Natalie Dobrzykowski, and Mira Selling are the CAA Champions. They set a new swimming program record in the effort with a time of 7:12.05





The UD Men's Swimming 200 Medley Relay team are the CAA Champions for 2023. They set a new all-time CAA record as well as the Delaware program record with a time of 1:24.92. The team members are Gavin Currie, Toni Sabev, Simeon Sabev, and Matvei Namakonov.





DE - The U of Delaware's Mira Selling is the CAA Champion in the 200 Individual Medley. She set a new CAA Meet record and UD record with a time 1:58.08






DE - The U of DE's Toni Sabev set a new Blue Hen Swimming team record in the Men's 100 Breaststroke. The new standard is 51.96.

The St. Marks' Boys 200 Freestyle Relay team of Cameron Byrd, Nick Lennon, Kevin Waldron, and Sean Kemske set a new Spartan record in the event with a time of 1:30.04





Hayden Hudson set thhe Cape Henlopen Girls single season record for rebounds. She now has 180 passing Carlyn Quinn and Mehkia Applewhite who were tied at 177 in the same season.






At the State Swimming Championships the Caesar Rodney Boys 200 Yard Medley Relay Team of Mert Kayabas, Brady May, Ryan Woodzell, and Paul Edelman broke the school record with a time of 1:43.22




Kiara Mills from the U of DE Softball team knocked in her 100th career run for the Blue Hens.





Caravel's Luke Poore wins the 132 pound title and becomes the Bucs first four-time State Champion. In the process he won his 183rd match which is the new Delaware all-time win record.





Malachi Stratton, sophomore, from Sussex Central is the 113-pound State Champion. He had two pins in the tournament to win his second State Championship. He finishes the season with a 56-4 record picking up his 100th career win in the semifinal round.





Sanford's Dallas Pierce scored her 1000th career point for the Warriors basketball team.





Mania Tasakou set a new U of Delaware program record in the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:14.81




The Blue Hens Gavin Currie is the Mens 200 Backstroke CSCAA Champion setting a new record time of 1:42.33. This is a record for the NIC, CAA and the UD Swim program.





Aislinn Mitchell set a new record time of 54.15 in the 100 Butterfly for the Blue Hen's Swimming Team at the CSCAA Championships.





U of Delaware's Owen Grant became reached the 100 Caused Turnover milestone for the Lacrosse Team. He is one of just two active players in the nation to reach that mark.






Colin Nowak from the Wilmington Charter wrestling team won his 100th career match during the Individual State Championships.




Gavin Currie from the U of DE Swimming team set a new program record in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:38.06





St. Andrews Josie Pitt set three records for the Saints basketball team this year. She had a single-game high of 6 blocked shots, 50 blocks for the season, and averaged 2.8 blocks per game.





Macey Myers, a Milford HS graduate, just became the first softball player for Delaware Technical Community College to eclipse 100 hits and 100 RBIs in a career.





Delaware Tech's Matt Rodriguez picked up his 100th career hit for the baseball team.





DE - Wilmington University's Jacob Herman recorded his 100th career point for the Wildcats Mens Lacrosse Team.




Mercy McCarthy from the U of DE Women's Lacrosse team became the 15th player in program history to record 200 career saves as a goalie.





Jake Dunion from the University of Delaware's Baseball team picked up his 100th career hit for the Blue Hens.





Caesar Rodney Senior Pitcher Peyton Shields collected her 350th career strikeout on the mound for the Riders.





The University of Delaware's Hanna Garber set another career milestone for the Softball team. She has reached the 200-hit mark for the Blue Hens.






Congratulations to Logan Stinson for becoming the first Wilmington University Wildcat to score 100 career goals for the Lacrosse team.




Congratulations to Wilmington's Giovanni Marino for becoming the second student-athlete in program history to record 100 career goals.




Sussex Central High softball player Madge Layfield threw a seven-inning no-hitter against Milford




Archmere's Tori Conner pitched a no-hitter for the Auks. They beat MOT Charter 16-0. Conner struckout 12 and also went 3-3 with 2 triples and 6 rbis in the game





Salesianum's Head Lacrosse Coach Bob Healy celebrated his 300th career win.




Delaware Military's Tyler August pitched a no-hitter against St. Georges in a 5-0 win. He struck out 8 Hawks for the Seahawks.




St. Marks Swedish Medley Relay teams both broke school records in their events. For the girls, Alexis and Arianna Donovan, Natalie Donaldson and Reagan Garibaldi ran a 2:23.35. The Boys team of Patrick Lamb, Chad Dohl, Shawn Hanggodo, and Brian Yeager ran a 2:02.16





Middletown's Gabby Riley became the all-time leader in goals scored for the Cavaliers soccer team. She now has 54 career goals and is also the program leader in assists with 30.





Freshman Ryan Scott from Woodbridge threw a perfect game against McKean in a 10-0 win. He struck out 8 Highlanders in his memorable victory.





Kaylan Yoder from Delmarva Christian threw her second no-hitter of the year. She blanked Padua 2-0 in a 17-strikeout effort.





Caesar Rodney's Peyton Shields notched her 400th career strikeout on the mound for the Riders softball team.





Patrick Craig from Caesar Rodney HS recorded his 200th career point for the Riders Boys Lacrosse team.





University of Virginia Junior Jake Gelof is the new all-time homer run record holder for the Virginia Baseball team. Jake is a former member of the Cape Henlopen Vikings. He has now hit 38 home runs over 129 games and leads the team with 13 home runs this season.





Delmarva Christian's Kaylan Yoder pitched her third no-hitter of the season. This victory was a perfect game came in an 8-0 shutout of Delmar in a game where she struckout 19 and also homered for the Royals.




Liam Robinson, a Freshman midfielder from the St. Andrews Boy's Lacrosse team, broke two school records by recording 7 assists and 12 points against Wilmington Christian.





Wilmington University's Maddie Day became the program's all-time leading goal scorer for the Women's Lacrosse team, surpassing La'Dae Boykin's mark of 179 set in 2018. Day now has 181 career goals.




Tye Kurtz from the U of Delaware's Men's Lacrosse team set a new program record for consecutive games with at least one point. The new mark is 58 and counting.




Johnny Kampes from Goldey Beacom College in Wilmington broke a single-game record for the baseball team when he stole 6 bases in an 8-4 win against Felician College




With a coaching victory over Norfolk State, Delaware State head baseball coach, JP Blandin recorded his 500th career win. The victory was an 8-7 win in the second game of a double-header sweep against the Spartans.





Dover's Ashtyn Torbert scored her 100th career goal for the Dover Senators Girl's Lacrosse team. It came in a victory over Delaware Military. Ashtyn is holding the second sign from the left in this picture.






In a battle of undefeated Delaware softball teams, The Delmarva Christian Royals beat the Appoquinimink Jaguars 2-0. In the game, Royals pitcher Kaylan Yoder threw a perfect game striking out 20 of the 21 Jaguars who faced her. She also hit a homerun in the contest. This was her 4th no-hitter of the year, the 2nd of which was perfect.





Madge Layfield from Sussex Central notched her 600th career strikeout for the Golden Knights softball team. The milestone whiff came in a 14-k win against Nandua, VA.







Kaley Arrowsmith, from Caravel Academy's middle school softball team, threw a no-hitter in a 10-0 win over Red Lion Christian. She struck out 15 batters in the effort.




Jackson Redd from Wilmington Friends recently scored the 100th goal of his career for the Quakers Boy's Lacrosse team





Wilmington's Tiffany Banning set a new school record in the 1,500-meters, with a s time of 4:58.93.




The University of Delaware's Madison Hranicka set a new Blue Hen single season record for caused turnovers for the Women's Lacrosse team. The new record, with more season to play, is 40.





Mara Everton from Polytech pitched a no-hitter for the softball team. The Panthers beat Red Lion Christian 9-0. She struck out 14 and walked just one in the win.




Ella Koechert from Ursuline Academy scored the 100th goal of her career for the Girl's Lacrosse team. It came in a 17-9 win against St. Marks.






Matt Duarte from Caravel Academy scored the 200th goal of his career for the Buccaneers Boy's Lacrosse team. The goal came in a victory against Milford HS.





Middletown's Reese Founds struckout her 300th career batter for the Cavaliers softball team. The milestone K came against Sussex Central.




Molly Kenney from Polytech HS scored the 100th goal of her career for the Panthers Girl's Lacrosse team. The milestone goal came in a 19-6 win over Sussex Tech HS





Mara Everton threw her second no-hitter in three games for Polytech as the Panthers beat Dover 20-0. She struck out 11 Senators in the game.





The DMA 4 x 400 relay team set a new school record at the Penn Relays. Ethan Walther, Messai Maynor, Troy Hedrick, and Eric Cureton break 3:30 for the first time in school history with an official time of 3:29.10





Middletown's Peyton Sumner scored the 100th goal of his career with the Cavalier Boy's Lacrosse team.




Hanna Garber from the U of DE Softball team broke the school record for runs scored when she crossed home plate for the 158th time in her career with the Blue Hens.





At the Penn Relays on April 29 Jules Balon, Madelyn Mead, Sophia Holgado, and Molly Flanagan finished first in the 4 x 400 relay with a school record time of 3:56.35.




St. Mark's Carly Maxton reached the 300-strikeout mark for her career with the Spartans softball team. The milestone K came in a 17-whiff shutout victory.

Kasey Xenidis from Caravel Academy threw a no-hitter against Newark Charter. She struck out 8 in the Buccaneers victory.




Max Garcia from AI duPont recorded his 100th point for the Tiger's Boy's Lacrosse team and his career.




Delmar sophomore Ryder Keidel threw a no-hitter against Lake Forest. The Wildcats beat the Spartans 4-0 as Keidel struck out 12 in the victory.






Ella Vandervort from Odessa and the Girl's Lacrosse team reached a milestone for the Ducks. She saved the 100th shot of her career.




Appoquinimink's Avery Jones scored the 100th goal of her career for the Jaguars Girl's Lacrosse team





Dickinson's David Lee won his 200th match as Head Coach of the Rams Volleyball team. The victory came against Providence Christian Academy.





Luca Pompeii from Salesianum reached the 100-point milestone for his career with the Sals Boy's Lacrosse team.





John Growbowski from William Penn threw a perfect game against Brandywine. He struck out 11 Bulldogs in the 10-0 win and drove in three runs to help his own cause.



Taylor Wroten from the U of DE softball team recorded her 200th career strikeout for the Blue Hens.






Emily Wroten throw a no-hitter for the U of DE softball team against Hampton University. It was the 17th no-hitter in Blue Hen Softball history





Logan Gibbons from St. Marks, and the Boy's Lacrosse team, saved his 200th career shot for the Spartans.





Elle Roberts from Caesar Rodney picked up her 100th career point for the Riders Girl's Lacrosse team. She is just a sophomore.




Kali Clayton from the Tatnall School scored the 100th goal of her career for the Girl's Lacrosse team.



Emily Cummins from the Sanford School save her 100th shot of the season as goalie for the Warriors Girl's Lacrosse team.





Caesar Rodney's Lyndsey Weller reached the 150-point milestone for her career with the Riders Girl's Lacrosse team.





Smyrna's Regan Nacrelli scored the 100th goal of her career for the Eagles Girl's Lacrosse team




Ty and Trent Montgomery from Red Lion's Boy's Lacrosse team both scored their 100th goal for their careers recently. They are a junior and sophomore for the Lions.





Graham Lindsay from Middletown scored the 100th point of his career with the Cavaliers Boy's Lacrosse team.





Polytech's Mara Everton threw her third no-hitter of the year. This one was against Seaford in a 15-k effort in which she also whiffed the 150th batter of the season.





Sussex Central's Madge Layfield notched her 700th career strikeout. The milestone whiff came in an important 1-0 win against St. Marks HS.





Madison Fuller from William Penn threw a no-hitter against Newark. The Colonials beat the Yellowjackets 15-0.





Tye Kurtz, from the U of DE Men's Lacrosse team, collected his 100th career assist in a win over Marist. He becomes the second player in program history to have 100 goals and 100 assists in a career for the Blue Hens.





Kayla Williams from Conrad set a new school record in the Shot Put with a throw of 35-7 at the NCC Championships






Mallory Holloway broke a Conrad Girl's Track team school record in the 1600 meter run with a time 5:13.77







Ethan Walther, Messai Maynor, Troy Hedrick, and Eric Cureton from the DMA 4x400 relay broke the Seahawks school record at the NCC Championships with a time of 3:26.32






Giada MacNamara broke the Delaware Military Academy school record in the Shot Put with a throw of 35-4.5




Salesianum's Jasyn Truitt won four first-place medals at the NCC Championships including a new State Record of 21.24 in the 200-meter dash. He was also part of Salesianum's new State Record in the 4x200 relay which broke a 40-year-old record with a time of 1:25.28. Anthony DelliCompagni, Vinny DelliCompagni, and Bishop Lane were the other three members of the record-setting team.




Max Forrey from Indian River broke the all-time record for goals scored for the Boy's Lacrosse team when he scored the 179th goal of his career. This was done in just three years.





Newark Charter's Ethan Matthews threw a no-hitter against MOT Charter. He struck out 4 in the Patriots 11-0 win.





Appoquinimink's Savannah Laird struck out the 300th batter of her career for the Jaguars softball team.





Max Garcia from AI duPont scored his 100th career goal for the Tigers Boy's Lacrosse team.






Polytech's Mara Everton recorded the 300th strikeout of her career for the Panthers softball team. The milestone strikeout came during a 16-whiff victory in a 9-2 win over St. Georges. She also threher 4th no-hitter of the year and surpassed the 200 strikeout mark for the season.





Joe Baker ’24 didn't just break St. Andrew's 2k record in rowing-he smashed it with a time of 6:09.9.





The Tatnall School's Lydia Colasante scored the 300th goal of her career for the Hornets Lacrosse team.




Conrad's Jordan Blanck, Mallory Holloway, Karen Tanner, and Alyssa Napier ran a D2 State Meet record time of 9:25.24 in the 4x800 meter relay







Ana Schneider from St. Andrews set three school records for the Soccer team. She scored 5 goals in one game, had 24 goals in a season, and is the all-time leader in goals scored with 52.





Hodgson's Jayanna Fields reached the 100 goal mark of her career with the Silver Eagles Girl's Lacrosse team.







Congratulations to Desiree Zapata on breaking the Smyrna High School goal-scoring record with 77 career goals.
