Tatnall named their Athletes of the Week for last week. Both are from the Hornet swimming teams. Blake Erkenbrecher is an 8th grader from the boys team and Stella Petersen is a freshman, and one of the co-captains, for the girls team.

Sussex Central's Maddy McTeer has had a great senior swim season so far and has broken three long standing school records and now has a total of five individual school records, Last season she broke her own 50 free and 100 free records from sophomore year. Her 50 Free record time is 24.59 and 100 free is 54.37.

This season she has broken the Sussex Central Individual Medley (IM) school record which had been standing since 2005. Her time is 2:17.08. She broke the Gold Knights 100 Breaststroke record with a 1:10.89. The previous record was from 2003. She also set a new 200 freestyle standard with a 2:02.49 time. The previous record was from 2005.

Caravel Academy wrestler, Dylan Knight, reached the 100-career-win milestone this week at the Canal Classic held at Middletown. Knight is in his senior year with the Buccaneers.

Senior forward Logan Downs scored a Salesianum record of 6 goals in the 8-2 win vs. Roman Catholic on Friday night.

256 different schools from around the region sent representatives to compete in the New Balance Games at the Armory in NYC Friday and Saturday. Delaware was represented by Conrad, Concord, Delaware Military, Cape Henlopen, Tatnall, Salesianum and Delcastle.

Conrad's Ben Horgan recorded another school record under his name as he set a new standard in the 1000 Meters

Conrad's Mallory Holloway also set another RedWolves record at the same meet. She also broke the 1000 meter record. Her time was 3:17.44

For the Freshmen Boy's 1000 meters Ethan Walker from DMA wins and Ben Pizarro from Tatnall crosses in 3rd with a personal best time.

The Canal Wrestling Classic was held at Middletown HS this weekend. The Buccaneers of Caravel were the overall team champions. They had 8 wrestlers win their weight classes.
