Statistical Standouts from 5-12-26
Baseball:
Noah Christman from Lake Forest struck out 14 as the Spartans beat Milford 9-2.
Graham Clark from St. Marks had 4 rbis and was the winning pitcher for the Spartans in their 14-3 win over Cape Henlopen.
Landon Fiels from Indian River struck out 10 as the Indians beat Sanford 3-2.
Boys Lacrosse:
Nash Maheshwari had 6 goals and 2 assists and Ethan Lukach had 8 assists for Wilmington Friends in the Quakers 14-4 win against Tower Hill.
JR Montgomery from Red Lion had 3 goals and 6 assists for the Lion as they beat Mt. Pleasant 16-4.
Girls Lacrosse:
Lilly Belair and Ella Lucey each scored 5 times for Concord in the Raiders 16-2 win over Christiana.
Madelyn Farwell had 8 goals and 2 assists for Tatnall as the Hornets beat Sussex Academy 20-9.
Cece Clough scored 5 goals and had 4 assists for Tower Hill in the Hillers 18-4 victory over Wilmington Friends. The Hillers end the regular season as the Independent Conference Champions and undefeated heading into the State Tournament at 15-0.
Girls Soccer:
Zoe Carberry from Ursuline scored 2 of the Raiders goals and assisted on the other in their 3-0 win over St. Andrews.
Maddie Robinson had 4 goals and 3 assists and Campbell Schneider scored 3 goals and had 3 assists as Wilmington Christian beat Tatnall 7-2.
Softball:
Tanai Tippens (pictured) from St. Marks reached 100 hits for her career during the Spartans 9-8 win over Smyrna.
Morgyn Cook from Concord had 4 hits and 7 rbis during the Raiders 12-4 win against Red Lion.
Kha'Lyn Tilghman from Polytech drove in 4 runs for the Panthers as they beat Appoquinimink 10-1.
Boys Volleyball:
Matthew Bayes had 20 kills and Camren Scaffedi 44 assists for Caesar Rodney as they beat Indian River in 4 sets.
Zach Hearn reached the 1000 assist milestone in his career with the Indian River team.
Andrew Mahoney had 17 kills for Salesianum in their straight-set win against Smyrna.
