Statistical Standouts from 5-13-26
Track & Field:
At the New Castle County Championships 3 new schools records were established for Newark Charter Patriots.
1. Boys 4 x 800
2. Timmie Claessens (pictured) - boys 1600
3. Malaya McMillan (pictured) - girls 400
The Howard Boys 4x200 team broke the State Record in the event.
Baseball:
Carter Nelson from Dickinson had 10 strikeouts and stole 5 bases for the Rams as they beat Delcastle 13-4.
Colton Crockett had a 5-5 day for Sussex Tech in the Ravens game against Salesianum.
Kai Johnson and Brady Stenvik each had 5 rbis for Middletown as the Cavaliers beat Newark 24-2.
Girls Lacrosse:
Cara Willis had 5 goals and 2 assists and Elizabeth Merkle had 4 goals and 3 assists for Polytech in the Panthers 16-2 win against Lake Forest.
Chloe Harris from Indian River had 6 goals and an assist in the Indians game against Smyrna.
Ella Brown (pictured) from Caesar Rodney reached 200 points for her career with the Riders Lacrosse team.
Girls Soccer:
Anaiah Mulhern and Madeline Taylor from Delmarva Christian each scored 3 goals in the Royals 9-0 win over Seaford.
Angelina Mangano scored 2 goals and assisted on the other goal for Brandywine as the Bulldogs beat Mt. Pleasant 3-2.
Softball:
Carly Porter from Red Lion drove in 4 runs for the Lions in their 11-5 victory over Woodbridge.
Aubrey Timmons had 4 rbis for Delmar in the Wildcats game against Caravel.
Boys Volleyball:
Chase Armour had 20 kills and David Wilson 39 assists as Appoquinimink beat Middletown in 4 sets.
Jason Harpel-Rickards from Cape Henlopen had 30 assists for the Vikings as the beat Odessa 3-0.
Christopher Zhuang had 30 assists for Wilmington Charter as the Force beat Mt. Pleasant 3-0.
