Smyrna High girls’ soccer player Desiree Zapata started her sophomore season with back-to-back hat tricks as the Eagles won their first two games.





Freshman Joaquin Rodriguez-Costa started his Sussex Central High baseball career with a homerun in the Golden Knights’ 16-1 win over Delmarva Christan. He finished the day going 2-for-3 with three RBI.





Delmarva Christian softball pitcher Lilli Showacre started the season with a pair of complete-game wins as the Royals knocked off both Sussex Central and Smyrna. The junior allowed only four runs in the two games, struck out 11 while adding a homerun and double in the 6-3 win over Smyrna.




Delaware State equestrian head coach Jennifer Ridgely has earned her third career conference coach-of-the-year award.

Ridgely was named today as the ECAC Coach-of-the-Year for the 2021-22 season.

This season, the Hornets rose as high as No. 7 in the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) poll, and currently stand at No. 10.










William Penn's Brandon Grygo pitched the first ever perferct game in Colonials baseball history. He only needed 67 pitches to accomplish the feat and record all 21 outs without giving up a walk, hit, or a runner on by error.



















Christiana's Lauren Carbonara pitched her first no-hitter: 12 SO, 2 BB, 1 HB. She also hit a double. Dana Harris hit a 3-run inside the park Home Run. Sydney Ahlstrohm went 2-2 and walked twice as the Vikings beat Delcastle 16-0.
