Delcastle beat Appoquinimink 67-40 to clinch the Blue Hen Flight A Conference title. Eden Alexander scored 28 points to lead the Cougars. They will face Howard for the overall Blue Hen Conference Championship.
Two UD Blue Hens earned CAA honors for the Softball team this week. Billie Kerwood was named the Pitcher of the Week and Sydney Shaffer was named the Player of the Week.
The St. Marks Girls team of Alexis Donovan, Kiara Davis, Arianna Donovan, and Reagan Garibaldi ran 1:42.70 to break the Delaware State Record in the 4x200m relay. The old record of 1:42.74 was set in 2010. The new record was set at the Armory in the Bronx at the North Shore Pre-Nationals Invitational.
Odessa's Indoor Track team traveled to compete in the North Shore Invitational in NY. More school records were set by the Ducks.
Ameerah Hill broke the 55 meter hurdle record with a time of 9.85
Morgan Wallace set a Girls record in the 400 with a time of 58.87.
Johnny Waylee broke the Boys record in the Shot Put with a throw of 45-1.75
Ethan Barnett broke his own record in the 800 with a time of 1:59.48
Juziah Horne set the Boys record in the Triple Jump with a leap of 43-3.5.
Kasai Truitt set the new Boys record in the 200 with a time of 22.34
Keith Jenerette broke the 400 meter record with a time of 50.54.
Salesianum wins the D1 Dual Meet Wrestling Championship with a 43-28 win over Sussex Central in the Championship match. They beat Sussex Tech 62-13 in the quarterfinals and William Penn 59-12 in the semifinal round to win their second such title. Their first was just two years ago in 2023.
The Seahawks of Delaware Military Academy won the D2 Dual Meet Wrestling Championship for the third straight year. They beat McKean and Indian River in the quarterfinal round and semifinal round to take on St. Marks for the second year in a row. They beat the Spartans 42-24 for the title. Head Coach L.A. Collier wins his 4th championship as a coach winning one previously as Head Coach at Hodgson.
