Kimberly Seeney from Polytech High school celebrated 1000 assists in her High School career on on 10/20/22. Kimberly has been the starting setter for varsity all 4 years at Polytech. She also plays for Premier Volleyball of Delaware.




The top seeded Wilmington University women's tennis team is back-to-back Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament Champions, defeating No. 2 Jefferson, 4-2, in the final on Sunday afternoon at the Delcastle Tennis Center.

The Wildcats needed to come from behind in the final, dropping the doubles point before battling back in the singles competition. The match was tied 2-2 and then Carmelle Vial won at No. 1 singles before Neus Ramos Moreno clinched the Championship point at No. 2 singles.

The win capped off a perfect fall season, as the Wildcats are now 12-0 overall.




Taylor Wolf, who was a 4-time All-State Goalie in Delaware, is now the leading goal scorer for D3 with her Cedar Crest Falcons. Her 24 goals are a new program record and she also recently set a team record with 6 goals in one game.






𝘼𝙡𝙮𝙨𝙨𝙖 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙯𝙞𝙤𝙨𝙚 was named the Maroon and Gold Athlete of the Week for St. Elizabeth's. The goalie on the field hockey team, she recently recorded her 100th career save for the Vikings.





Berber Bakermans received CAA Field Hockey Co-Player of the week along with Monmouth's Annick van Lange. Over the weekend, Bakermans recorded six points on one goal and four assists en route to a 2-0 weekend for the Blue Hens. Bakermans scored a goal and was credited with the game-tying assist in Friday's win over Northeastern. Following Friday's win, Bakermans was credited with a career-high three assists in Sunday's win over Hofstra.





Izzy Rothwell also won CAA honors for the week. She accounted for three points, scoring her first career goal, and her first career assist for the Blue Hens over the weekend. All three points came in the weekend finale against Hofstra as she recorded an assist on the game-opening goal, and scored in the 18th minute.






John Klepacki from St. Marks has committed to play baseball for Wilmington University and likely pitch for the Wildcats.






Alvernia Women's Soccer freshman, and Padua graduate, Haley Dougherty, was named the MAC Commonwealth Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.


Dougherty recorded three assists and a goal in a 1-0-1 week for Alvernia. She then tied the Alvernia single-game record with three assists against Clarks Summit University, and added a goal in the 6-0 win.




Field Hockey




Payton Keeler scored three goals and added two assists as Woodbridge beat Christiana 12-0. The Blue Raiders are 8-3 and playoff bound in a very tough Henlopen South Conference.

Lake Forest blanked Red Lion 8-0. Jr. Roxanne Troutman scored a hat trick as the Spartans outshot the Lions 27-0.

Boy's Soccer




Reuben Saunders scored two goals and assisted on three others as the Force of Wilmington Charter beat St. Elizabeth's 8-0. The Force are now 10-1 for the year with St. Marks, Salesianum and Middletown left to close out the regular season.





Wilmington Friends are now 9-2. They beat Wilmington Christian 3-0. Alessio Cristanetti-Walker scored all three goals for the Quakers.















Volleyball



Dickinson is now 10-3 after a 3-0 victory over Providence Christian from MD. Molly Campion led the Rams with 30 assists. Madison Cossaboom had 10 kills. No seniors on this Rams team.

Appoquinimink beat St. Andrews 3-0 to improve their record to 8-5 Gianna Folke lead the Jaguars with 17 kills. Alexis Parkinson had 30 assists.

Caravel had to fight off an improving Wilmington Friends squad 3-1. Laila Glover had 17 kills for the Buccaneers who are now 9-4 with the 13-1 Delmarva Christian Royals next on their schedule.
