Indian Rivers Camryn Ehlers surpassed the 1000-assist mark for her career as the setter on the Indians volleyball team. She is the all-time leader for the school's program in assists.







Brice Hansen earns Rookie of the Week honors in the CACC for the Wilmington Wildcat Volleyball team. Her efforts in a win against Holy Family helped the Wildcats earn the #3 seed in the CACC South Tournament.






Lani Mason is the CAA Offensive Player of the Week for the 4th time this season for the Fightin Blue Hen Volleyball Team.






Donovan Brooks from St. Georges Tech and the Delmarva Aces baseball club, has committed to attend and play baseball for Neumann College in Aston, PA.






Alyssa Pope was named the Maroon & Gold Athlete of the Week for St. Elizabeth's HS. Alyssa was honored for her play on the Vikings Field Hockey team.








Delaware field hockey will play Lehigh in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday, November 9 at 2 p.m. at Karen Shelton Stadium in Chapel Hill, N.C. at the University of North Carolina.


The winner of the first round plays top-seed North Carolina on Friday, Nov. 11.


The Blue Hens (9-11) earned their fourth-straight CAA Championship title after defeating Drexel, 6-1, Sunday afternoon. Senior Ashlyn Carr was named the CAA Tournament Most Outstanding Performer and was joined by teammates Julia Duffhuis, Grace Hoepfner, and Kiki Oudshoorn on the All-Tournament Team.






Volleyball



Delmarva Christian advances to the state semi-final round for the first time in their history with a 5-set victory over Caesar Rodney. The Royals had to ward off a come-from-behind attempt by the Riders eventually taking back control in the deciding set. Sophomore Elaina Millaway had 28 kills and 29 digs for the Royals. Sr. Ellie Millaway had 15 kills and the Kwiatkowski sisters Tessa and Maggie combined for 47 assists. They become the first team from Sussex County to reach the semifinal round of the DE State Tournament.

St. Marks move forward in the tournament after beating Newark Charter in straight sets. Freshman setter Maddie Way had 43 assists to lead the Spartans. Julia Yurkovich had 24 kills. Taylor Holly led defensively with 23 digs. The Spartans will play Delmarva Christian in the semifinals.

The 9th seeded Hillers of Tower Hill upset the #1 seed, the Smyrna Eagles in three close straight sets.

Sr. Chloe Sachs led the Hillers with 20 kills and had 15 assists. Molly Pietlock had 18 kills and 21 assists. They move on to the semifinal round on Thursday.

The Buccaneers of Caravel Academy beat Archmere in 5 sets. The teams were exactly even after two sets in point and Archmere only had one more total point going into the deciding set. The Buccaneers, the #5 seed win over the #4 seed and now advance to play Tower Hill in the semifinal round on Thursday.





Boy's Soccer



In the first round of the D2 Soccer tournament, Delaware Military Academy beat Sussex Academy 2-0. The Seahawks will advance to play St. Marks on Saturday at 1. Geovanny Hallo assisted on both Seahawk goals. Brett Wohlar had 8 saves in goal to earn the shutout.

Brandywine beat McKean 3-2 in overtime to advance to play Caravel on Saturday. Sophomore Noah Kirchner scored the golden goal for the Bulldogs. Drew Manocchio had the other two goals for the #8 seed.
