Boy's Soccer
Tebar Gomez scored two goals and had two assists as the Caesar Rodney Riders beat Cape Henlopen 5-0. Tate Wisniewski had a goal and an assist as well.
#4 Sussex Central beats #5 St. Georges 3-2. Five different players scored for the Golden Knights. They head into the semifinals to play Caesar Rodney. In their regular season meeting it was Caesar Rodney who won 4-3.
Noah Holgado's second half goal at the 66-minute mark was the difference-maker as Salesianum had a tough time with the high-scoring 6-seed, Delcastle. The Sals, the #3 seed, will take on Appoquinimink, the defending state champions in the semi-final round. Sallies beat Appo 5-1 earlier in the year but Appo's last regular-season contest was against Delcastle and the Jaguars beat them 4-0.
Cross Country State Championships
The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) 2021 Cross Country State Championships will occur this Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Brandywine Creek State Park.

Championship Meet History:
Padua Academy won their eighth (8) straight Division I girls championship in 2020 and will go for #9 on Saturday. Cape Henlopen was the Division I Boys champion for the first time in school history in 2020. Ursuline Academy will run for their fourth straight Division II championship in 2021. In Division II boys, Tatnall captured their 14th championship in 2020 and will seek #15 on Saturday.
Volleyball
Tonight, the semi-final round of the Volleyball State Championship is at St. Mark's HS. The Spartans are the #1 seed and they will take on #5 Newark Charter. #2 Padua will play #6 Wilmington Friends. Both are rematches of regular-season games which St. Marks and Wilmington Friends won.
