Hollamon scored a go-ahead goal in the third. Sawyer Rowland tied the game at 3 in the 4th. But Laela Brown came up with the game-winning goal with about 3 minutes left in the game.
Cape Henlopen and Smyrna met for the third year in a row in the D1 Championship. The Vikings were victorious for the second straight time this year winning 2-1. Emily Wells scored on a penalty stroke at the end of the first half. Freshman Teagan Baker scored an insurance goal in the third. Addison Beamer scored for the Eagles to pull them within one but the defenses clamped down from there and the Vikings are State Champions for 2024.
