The University of Delaware Women's Lacrosse team welcomes new members to their team.

Cameron Coco from Appoquinimink has signed his NLI to attend Delaware State University and play baseball for the Hornets.





Grace Hudson from Cape Henlopen has signed an NLI to attend Belmont Abbey College in NC where she will join the field hockey team.





Caesar Rodney's Jamie Reed has signed her NLI to attend Neumann University and play for the field hockey team.

Jon Lennon from St. Marks has signed his NLI to play soccer for Shippensburg University in PA.






Red Lion Christian freshman Jacque Wilson, from the football team, led all high school freshman in tackles in the entire nation.





Field Hockey


#3 Tatnall advanced to the semifinal round of the D2 State Field Hockey Tournament with a 2-1 win over #6 Newark Charter. The Hornets needed overtime and Lydia Colasante's second goal of the game to win it.

Jordyn Hollamon scored six goals and added an assist as #1 Delmar blasted #9 Woodbridge 12-1. The Wildcats move on to the semifinal round.






The fifth-seeded Quakers of Wilmington Friends beat the fourth-seeded Seahawks of Delaware Military 2-0. Madeline Rowland scored both goals for the Quakers. They now move to the semifinal round where they will face Delmar at Rullo Stadium on the 16th at 4pm.

The second seed, Archmere Academy, beat #7 Sussex Academy 4-0. Emma Gioffre led the Auks with 2 goals and Bella Dell'Oso had two assists. The Auks will play Tatnall at 6pm at Rullo on the 16th. They beat Tatnall earlier in the year 1-0.






Boy's Soccer


In D2, #1 Caravel beat #8 Brandywine 3-0. Three different Bucs scored in the game




In D1, Wilmington Charter's Michael Capretto scored the game-winning goal in double overtime as the Force advance to the semifinals beating Caesar Rodney 1-0. They will take on #7 Sussex Central at Dover on the 16th at 7:30.

Appoquinimink advances to play Salesianum in the semifinal round to be held at Dover on the 16th at 5pm. The #5 Jaguars beat #4 Cape Henlopen 4-1.





#5 Tower Hill beat #4 Wilmington Friends 3-2 in triple overtime. Tommy Vanni had two goals and an assist and freshman George Peddrick had a goal and two assists. The Hillers will face Caravel on the 16th at 5pm at Caesar Rodney HS.

St. Marks beat Delaware Military 1-0 and the Spartans advance to play Indian River at 730 on Wednesday at Caesar Rodney. The Spartans are the #3 seed and the Indians the #2 seed.




Football

Laurel, Wilmington Friends and Caravel all end their regular football season's with 10-0 records. The tournament pairings will come out soon.
