Maci Bradford scored 4 goals in the D2 State Championship game to lead the Delmar Wildcats to an 8-0 victory and their 6th straight state championship on Saturday. The Wildcats capped and undefeated season with authority completely dominating the field in the tournament this year. Josie Hollamon scored two of the other 4 goals in the game and Delmar outshot Newark Charter 18-0.

For the 20th time in Delaware State history, the Sals of Salesianum win the boy's soccer championship. They beat the previously unbeaten Caesar Rodney Riders 2-0 in the final game of the year.


For the 5th year in a row the Cape Henlopen Vikings are the D1 State Field Hockey Champions. They beat Smyrna 4-0 in the final game. Reagan Ciabattoni scored two times and Louise Rishko added two assists. The Vikings outshot Smyrna 15-1 in this game.

The Caravel Buccaneers won the D2 Boy's Soccer Championship beating St. Andrews 4-0 in the final game of the year. The win gave the Bucs their 5th state championship in school history. All 4 goals were scored in the second half and they scored those 4 goals on just 6 shots.
Football

In the Class 3A Football Tournament, William Penn rolled over Hodgson Vo Tech 41-6. Markell Holman rushed for 4 touchdowns in this game from 2, 3, 5 and 12 yards out. The Colonials will play Smyrna at Smyrna on 11-26 at 7.

Also in Class 3A, Appoquinimink blanked Cape Henlopen 36-0. Ryan Vonbrandt and Daniel McConomy both scored two touchdowns from the ground for the Jaguars. They will get to play their district rivals Middletown at Middletown, also on Friday at 7.
