In the Appoquinimink District rivalry playoff game it was the #2 seeded Cavaliers of Middletown beating Appoquinimink HS 27-0. The Cavs advance to the semi-final round of the Class 3A tournament where they await the winner of the Salesianum-Sussex Central game to be played tonight at 7 in Wilmington.



In a Class 1A quarterfinal game the #1 seeded Bulldogs of Laurel took out the #8 seeded Ducks of Odessa 49-0. Kysle Wilson rushed for over 100 yards and three touchdowns. Javier White rushed for two touchdowns including a 61-yard run. Mike Gonzalez-Perez was 7 for 7 in extra point kicks.

Laurel will play the winner of the St. Andrews-Indian River game which is being played today.





Also in Class 1A the #2 seed advances to the semifinal round. St. Elizabeth's beats Wilmington Charter 19-0 in the Force's first-ever playoff game. The high-scoring Vikings were held to just 19 points but their defense pitched a shutout. Quasim Benson, Chris Caracter and Gavin Andrews all scored touchdowns for St. E's.







The other 3A game played yesterday saw the #1 Smyrna Eagles blasting William Penn 46-6. Senior Wayne Knight rushed for over 100 yards and scored 4 touchdowns. He also ran in 4 two-point conversions to give him 32 points for the game. They will play the winner of the St. Georges-Dover game playing today in Dover.


Woodbridge shutout Tower Hill 31-0 in the other Class 2A game held yesterday. No further information was available. If you have some, please send it in. The Blue Raiders will play the winner of the Wilmington Friends - Delmar game which is taking place today at 1 at Abessinio Stadium in Wilmington.



Other games today will feature Archmere against St. Marks in Class 2A. The big 2A game will pit DMA taking on Caravel in Bear. Both of those teams with just one loss this year. Seaford will travel to Wilmington to play the Tatnall Hornets in Class 1A.
