Volleyball State Tournament - First Round Part 1
Faith Kleitz
Tatnall put up a fight against Ursuline in this first round match. They won an epic first set 29-27 but the Raiders had three hitters with double digits in kills - Hannah Kelley, Cecelia DeCaro, and Faith Kleitz - and won the next three sets with the 4th going to 27 points. Caitlyn McGonigal led the Hornets with 14 kills. The Raiders head to St. Marks on Friday to face their long-time rivals, the Spartans on Friday night.
Indian River beat Padua 3 sets to 1. They will advance to play Delmarva Christian on Friday night. They lost to the Royals in 3 sets on October 4th.
Red Lion 3, MOT Charter 0
The #10 Lions beat the Mustangs in straight sets to advance to the 2nd round. They will take on #7 Caesar Rodney on Friday night.
Appoquinimink 3, St. Georges 0 The Jaguars rolled over the Hawks in straight sets on Wednesday night. They were in control from the beginning of the match. Alexis Parkinson spread out the offense effectively and libero Aimee Abad was solid on defense once again. The #11 Jaguars will face #6 Newark Charter on Friday night.

Cristofer Torres Romero scored 4 goals for Delcastle as the Cougars beat William Penn 5-0. They close out their regular season unfeated at 15-0 and await their seeding and opponent for the state tournament
