Freshman Abby Anselmo had 4 goals and an assist and her sophomore sister Madison had a goal and three assists as the Lions of Red Lion defeat Glasgow 8-0.
Boy's Soccer
Cristofer Torres-Romero scored three times for Delcastle as the Cougars bounce back from a loss to Appoquinimink the other day and beat William Penn 6-3.
Sophomore Jackson Laznik scored all of the goals in this game between Newark Charter and Conrad. Final score here was the Patriots 2 and the Red Wolves 0.
Volleyball
First Round
The Seahawks advance to the second round of the state tournament beating Polytech in 3 sets. Lillian Wenzel led DMA with 11 kills. Delaney Schultz had 21 assists. Delaware Military will take on Wilmington Charter in the second round on Friday.
Anna Richardson led the Eagles of Smyrna with 14 kills as they beat Concord in straight sets. Abigayle and Karalyn Osborne each had 12 assists. Smyrna moves on to play Padua on Friday.
It was Ursuline over Appoquinimink 3-0. Grace Burns dished out 20 assists. Hannah Kelley led the Raiders with 12 kills. Ursuline advances to play #3 Red Lion on Friday night.
