Rachel Carey from Polytech HS has committed to play softball for Binghamton University in NY. She is also a member of the TNT U18 program




Two Wilmington Wildcats earned CACC honors this week. Men's soccer's Malthe Hannesbo was named the CACC Defensive Player of the Week while men's cross country's Vaughn Lackman was named the CACC Rookie of the Week. It was the third time this year Lackman was named to this honor.





Tatnall's Rachael Whitehead recently scored her 50th career goal for the Hornet Field Hockey team.





Padua named Aanya Yatevelli their Volleyball Player of the Month for September. Her month included a career-high 31 kills in a big match against Delaware Military.

Bella Dell'Oso scored the only goal of the game as Archmere handed Tatnall its first loss of the season. That now leaves just Delmar as the only undefeated team in the state. Tatnall outshot Archmere 18-11. Ava Hughes made 18 saves in goal for the Auks who only have one loss this year and are now 11-1.

Hannah Zimmerman had a hand in all three goals, scoring one, as Milford beat Sussex Central 3-1. The Bucs are 5-6-1 and on the bubble for a tournament berth.

Cape Henlopen is tuning up for the state tournament. They blasted Dover 12-0. Grace Wiggins scored 5 goals and assisted on two others. Devon DeGregory scored 3 of her own for the Vikings who are now 11-1.

Boy's Soccer



Wilmington Friends took Caravel to overtime but Zain Akhtar scored on a PK to secure victory. Alessio Christanetti-Walker scored the first goal of the game in the second half. Mason Csapo scored to tie in late, in the 79th minute off an assist from Akhtar. Caravel is now 11-1 and the Quakers

8-2.





Freshman Benskey Succes scored three goals for Polytech as the Panthers beat Lake Forest 4-1.








Volleyball



Hannah Kelley lead the Raiders with 13 kills as Ursuline picked up a much-needed victory beating Wilmington Charter 3-0. Ava Panunto had 20 assists for UA.

Wilmington Friends had to come from behind 2 set to 0 to beat Wilmington Christian. They needed extended play in the 4th set winning it 27-25 sending the match to the deciding game which they won easily 15-3. Elizabeth Pisano lead the Quakers with 34 assists.
