Field Hockey



Bella Dell'oso scored both goals in Archmere's 2-0 win over Tower Hill. The Auks improve to 10-3 on the year. The loss drops the Hills to 3-7-1. They will have to sweep their final 4 games to have a shot at the playoffs this year.



Concord big over Dickinson. McKenzie Camp and Olivia Rafferty each scored a hat trick and an assist for the Raiders. MacKenzie Weinkowitz had the other two goals and recorded two assists.



Polytech had to come from behind with 5 minutes left in the game to pull out a 4-3 victory over Indian River. Emma Ruley scored a go-ahead goal for the Indians in the 4th quarter with 5:50 left in the game. Kylee LeVere tied it up at 3 with 4:31 to go and then Madison Lloyd scored the game-winner with 2 minutes left in the game to give the Panthers the win.



Natalie Cromer scored three goals for the Buccaneers. Milford beats Laurel 5-0.




A thriller in Georgetown as the Ravens of Sussex Tech beat the Seahawks of Sussex Academy 4-3 in overtime. Karli Penrod scored her third goal of the game in the overtime period for the win. The Seahawks came from behind 3-1 in the 4th quarter to tie it. Shelby Manlove tied this game for them with just over three minutes left in regulation.



Smyrna holds Delmar to 6 goals, which is a tough thing to do. Junior Maci Bradford scored 4 of the Wildcats goals. Jordan Hollaman had a goal and two assists. The Eagles led this game for a hot minute 1-0.




Peyton Shields with 2 goals and three assists in Caesar Rodney's 10-1 win over Seaford.




Boy's Soccer



Jesus Gomez Gutierrez had a goal and two assists and Baboucar Mboob had two goals for the Dragons as they beat AI duPont 7-1.




Leondardo Chester had two of Indian River's 7 goals in their shutout win over Sussex Tech.




Michael Reif scored twice and added an assist. Carlos Ayon-Arredondo had a goal and two assists. The Silver Eagles of Hodgson down Newark 5-1.



Andres Velez had a hat trick for the Cougars as Delcastle improves to 9-2 for the year with an 8-0 win over the Green Knights of Mt. Pleasant. Anthony Gonzalez-Escobarhad three assists.




Christopher Lopez-Ayllon had three goals and an assist for the McKean Highlanders. They beat Christiana 5-1.




Volleyball


Nicole and Lauren Rankin led Caravel to a 3-0 win over Mt. Pleasant. Nicole had 10 kills and Lauren with 21 assists.



The Henlopen North Conference Championship was clinched by the Senators of Dover as they beat the Smyrna Eagles in an amazing match last night. They had to come from behind 2 sets to one to do it. Two of the sets went long; both won by Smyrna. Olivia Aswanyu recorded 69 assists and Kimberly Czepukaitis had 33 kills. Dover improves to 12-2 and Smyrna falls to 8-5.



It was time to see how Delmarva Christian would match up against a ranked team last night. They held their own against Red Lion but the Lions swept in three sets. Regan Mendick had 38 assists. Eliza Schneider had 18 kills and Peyton Pusey had 13.



Middletown brought their 9-2 record to St. Marks HS. The Cavaliers are having a great season but St. Marks is having a season for the ages this year. Julia Yurkovich paced the Spartans with 13 kills.



Brenya Reid had 26 kills for Sussex Central as the Golden Knights win in straight sets over Milford. Madelyn McTeer had 26 assists.



Caesar Rodney takes down Cape Henlopnen 3-1. Alexandra Mardesich had 21 kills. Lindsay Shuba and Gabrielle Davis each had over 20 assists. The Riders are 10-3.



Abby Carian had 30 kills and Noreen Robinson had 23 for the Quakers as they beat the #2 Padua Pandas 3-2. Natalie Bush had 56 and Jocelyn Nathan 39 digs for Friends. Audrey Lyons had 48 assists, Meghan Peters had 25 kills and Amanda Quinn had 36 digs for Padua.
