A converted wide receiver Colo Soto has managed the explosive Viking offense as the starting quarterback. He has thrown four touchdown passes and has a 90% completion rate.
Smyrna High football player Yamir Knight scored 20 points in the Eagles’ 22-0 win over Sussex Central on Friday. The senior ran for two touchdowns, caught a TD pass and scored a two-point conversion in a key Class 3A, District II game.

The University of Delaware volleyball senior outside hitter Lani Mason was recognized as the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Offensive Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 26-Oct. 2.
In Delaware's lone match of the week, Mason swung at a rate of .324 to set career highs of 38 kills and 24 digs, including posting her sixth double-double of the season, in a five-set victory at Charleston. Her 38-kill performance is a new program-best, surpassing her own record of 35 kills that she set two weeks ago against Northeastern.
