At the Middletown Invitation Cross Country meet Odessa's Ethan Barnett broke the Ducks school record in the 5k with a time of 16:53.




Football

Indian River beat Polytech 41-17 in a 1A2 game. Darnell Stokes had 139 yards rushing and two touchdowns and 57 yards receiving with a touchdown reception for the Indians. Davon Handy rushed 16 times for 104 yards and two touchdowns as the Indians improve to 3-0. The Panthers are now 2-1.

Tatnall beat Glasgow 24-12. Trevor Kimaiga had 6 catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns for the Hornets who are 3-0 in 1A1. Quinn deViere threw for 170 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Archmere is 3-0 in 2A2. They handed Newark a 43-13 loss. Ryan Hagenberg ran the ball 4 times for 102 yards and a touchdown and also caught one touchdown pass for the Auks.

Sophomore Jameson Tingle helped lead Cape Henlopen to a 34-32 win over Lake Forest. He was 18-26 for 251 yards and two touchdowns, ran 8 times for 33 yards and one touchdown and had an interception on defense. The Vikings are 3-0 in 3A2

Cape Henlopen beat Tower Hill 6-0. Sophomore Atia Sabbagh scored two goals and had two assists for the Vikings who remain undefeated at 6-0.

Christiana beat Hodgson 6-0. Senior Rahman Tokhi scored 4 goals for the Vikings who are 3-1 in D1 for the year. Hodgson falls to 1-4 in D2.

Middletown beat Odessa in 4 on Friday. Maddy Sarnecki led the Cavaliers with 38 assists and 8 kills. Emily Tosten had 17 kills for Middletown who are 4-0 and one of the 5 remaining unbeaten teams.
