The Wildcats picked up three more CACC Players of the Week today as Dan Wyshinski and Yailynn Ramirez were named CACC Runners of the Week for their work at the Lock Haven invite and The tennis teams' Carmelle Vial was named the CACC Co-Player and Rookie of the Week for advancing to the Quarterfinals of the ITA East Regional Championships.
The Odessa Ducks beat Brandywine 7-0. Grace Barnett scored three goals. The Ducks improve to 4-1.
Jordyn Hollamon scored 5 goals and had an assist. Josie Hollamon and Maci Bradford each scored twice as Delmar improved to 8-0 with an 11-1 win over Indian River.
Sussex Academy beat Laurel 10-1. Natalie Petty had four goals for the Seahawks.
Cape Henlopen remains undefeated and hands Smyrna their first loss of the season in a 2-0 battle in Smyrna. Hannah Maney assisted on both goals scored by Addison Basile and Mackinzie Brown.
Kaitlyn Redmond had 4 goals and Flannery Grimm 3 goals for Middletown. The Cavaliers beat Mt. Pleasant 9-0. They are 4-2 on the year.
Boy's Soccer
Zain Akhtar scored two times and Caravel hands Wilmington Charter their first loss of the season. The defending D2 champion Buccaneers improve to 7-0.
Jon Morales-Ortega had a hat trick for William Penn in their 4-1 win over the Newark Yellowjackets
Dickinson beat AI duPont 6-0. Mohammed Raza scored 4 goals for the Rams.
Volleyball
In a key Diamond State Conference volleyball contest, Newark Charter beat Wilmington Charter 3 sets to 1. The Patriots remain undefeated at 6-0 while the Force falls to 3-3. Kennedy Pavlokovich and Lila Seiler each had 12 kills to lead Newark. Devin Diodato had 29 assists for the Patriots. Haden Helojoki had 14 kills for the Force.
Caesar Rodney took a set from Smyrna as the Eagles won 3-1. Anna Richardson led everyone with 20 kills for Smyrna. Karalyn Osborne had 33 assists.
Amanda Quinn had 35 digs for the Panda defense as Padua outlasted Ursuline 3 sets to 2 in a come-from-behind victory. Padua is now 2-3 and Ursuline is 2-5 on the year.
Laila Glover led all scorers with 19 kills. Caravel beat Conrad 3-1.
